OUR PASTOR
Elder Walter D. Robertson
Elder Walter D. Robertson, better known as Lannie, is the eldest son of Elders Bobby and Carol Robertson. He was reared in Rockingham County in the city of Eden along with his three siblings. He graduated from Drewry Mason High School in Ridgeway, Virginia. He matriculated at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned his BA degree in Biology and BS degree in Pharmacy. He earned a Master’s Degree in Ministry and a Master’s Degree in Theology from Anderson Theological Seminary (Camille, Georgia). He is an ordained Elder of the United Holy Churches of America, Inc. and serves on the Board of Presbytery. Elder Robertson was chosen to lead Monument of Faith Ministries, the church his parents founded the church in 1993, and took the church to the next level of ministry. He humbly accepted the appointment and was installed February 3, 2013 as Pastor. He is awesomely anointed by God and appointed for such a time as this. As he humbly walks in the divine favor of God, he gives credit to his parents and his maternal grandmother, the late Dr. Lettie P. Cohen, for the solid foundation on which his ministry is built.
Pastor Robertson is a true a visionary to the people of God who brings relevance to God’s word. He is focused on the great commission to make disciples and win souls to the Kingdom of God. At Monument of Faith Ministries under his leadership, various ministries have been established to meet the diverse needs of parishioners and the community by making available the Christian Education Ministry, Covenant Keepers Marriage Ministry, WOW Singles Ministry, Kingdom Men’s Ministry, Women of Purpose Ministry, Machaira Ministry for males and Kingdom Girls Ministry which fall under the umbrella of our Youth Ministry. By equipping and empowering believers, lives will be changed and the ministry will accomplish the task of ‘Touching the Untouchable’.
